Vitamins For Hair Growth – Fruit Recipes for Your Hair

We have all heard our mothers tell us to take our vitamins for strong bones and help us grow. She failed to mentioned that vitamins are important for our hair health as well. Nature’s juicy treats are full of vitamins to keep you healthy! Proper amount of vitamins can help with hair growth and taste oh so good!


Vitamin C and Healthy Hair

Vitamin C is an antioxidant used readily by the body. The best sources are blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes. Vitamin C helps in the production of collagen which strengthens the capillaries that supply the hair shafts.”

Fruit Infused Vitamin Waters

Tired of drinking plain water? Get your recommended amount of water and enjoy fruit infused waters filled with vitamins! For all options:

  • 5 cups of water
  • 1 cup ice cubes (optional)

Strawberry, Basil, & Lemon Water

  • 1/2 cup strawberries stemmed and sliced – fresh or frozen
  • 5 large basil leaves torn
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced

Blackberries, Orange, & Ginger Water

  • 1/2 pint blackberries
  • 1 orange thinly sliced
  • 1 (2-inch) piece ginger peeled and thinly sliced

Blueberry, Lemon, & Rosemary Water

  • 1/2 pint blueberries
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary

Watermelon, Kiwi, & Lime Water

  • 1 cup watermelon cubes
  • 1 kiwi diced or cut into circles
  • 1 lime sliced into circles

Instructions: In a large pitcher, place the desired combination of fruits or herbs. Continue with ice and fill container with water. Add additional fruit or herbs to garnish, if desired.
