Hair Growth Support Plan

Even though your transplanted hairs may be thriving not starting a Hair Growth Support Plan still leaves you with the potential for gradual hair loss in your existing hair. It is important to add any of these Hair Growth Support Plans to prevent further loss and maximize your hair transplant results:

  • Platelet-rich Plasma
  • Laser Therapy
  • Microneedling with Stem Cells
  • Medication (Propecia)

Following your transplant, your hair will begin the hair growth cycle. During this process, your hair will shed. This may alarm you if your unaware shedding  occurs. Overtime you may notice your hair is becoming thinner while the transplanted hair remains healthy and not affected.

Will I lose hair after my hair transplant?

People typically will go through some shock loss within 30 days of having a transplant. The reason being, you have all these veins that feed your follicles. Where you don’t have hair, you don’t have as much blood flow. When you have all this new hair transplanted, your existing hair goes through some shock due to the new follicles getting all the blood and nutrients. This lack of blood and nutrients causes the existing hair to shed temporarily.

My hair transplant is shedding after 5 months, is this normal?

When the newly transplanted follicles connect to blood vessels, it restarts the hair growth cycle. Eventually old hair will shed out and a new hair begins to grow. This is normal! Within 6 months following a transplant, you can have up to 50% growth. Then it can take 13-14 months to get to full potential.

What will my hair transplant look like after 10 years?
